Known for their electrifying live performances and raucous, sweaty mosh pit anthems, Sophisticated Dingo are kicking off 2024 with a captivating change of pace on their latest single I Don’t Mind, out today. Alongside the new release, the Naarm duo are stoked to announce they will be heading out on a national tour in March, featuring dates in Wollongong, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, and Melbourne.

Clocking in at just under four minutes, I Don’t Mind is a slower, more contemplative offering from Jimmy and Lew, building from a gentle, acoustic-driven ballad into a triumphant singalong-worthy crescendo fit for festival stages and tightly packed pubs alike.

Vocalist and guitarist Lewis Matte says the new track is “a reminder not to take any moment for granted. No one knows how long they have left. Nothing is perfect. Embrace imperfection. Embrace growth through learning from the outcomes of your actions. Be malleable, open to compromise and to building dreams together with the ones you love. Let them inspire you. Speak simply. Embrace what you have. Don’t overcomplicate it. Enjoy the ride.”

2023 saw Sophisticated Dingo make their BIGSOUND debut with two incredible showcases (one of which Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda attended, sharing the band to his Instagram story), land as one of Live Nation’s Ones To Watch, hold a Top 50 spot on triple j’s Most Played list for 2 months after a full rotation add for “Radio On” (peaking at #3), and clock airplay on BBC Radio 1’s Future Alternative.

The band wrapped up the year with a special co-headline Christmas show at The Curtin, joining good mates and fellow Melbourne rockers The Velvet Club. Sophisticated Dingo’s fruitful last 12 months added to an already impressive run for the duo, with previous singles Morning View and Day In The Life also added to triple j rotation, as well as snagging the coveted Unearthed Feature Artist slot and winning the Unearthed x NIDA music video competition for their song The Job I Took. Their engaging live presence has led to the band running up an impressive tally of tours, with multiple national headline runs of their own amidst supporting the likes of Beddy Rays, Dear Seattle, The Terrys, Press Club, TOWNS, and Bakers Eddy.
