Recently nominated for the SA Music Awards People’s Choice (Punk), Stormy-Lou are following up their debut single Alone With U with a bright and buoyant break-up song that focuses on the joys of moving on.
“Nothing To Me is our way of saying “f** you, we’re better now,†the band explain. “All four of us have experienced awful relationships in some shape or form and so this was a really collaborative song for us to express the post-breakup feels. We’re all super confident, bubbly people and that has come from beating hardships and kicking out bad ties in life.â€
Recorded and mixed by the band’s producer Ben Waltho, with special thanks to Josh Thomas and master engineering by Sean Bell, Nothing To Me arrives with a self-assured strength, featuring layers of punchy instrumentals and perky earworm melodies – landing in the sweet spot between punk-infused intensity and dance-primed pop.
Stormy-Lou will be celebrating the release of Nothing To Me with a single launch event at Crown & Anchor in Adelaide on November 4, eager to bring their wholesome charm and captivating energy to the stage.
