Continuing their run of hot fire collaborations, Barley Passable share stunning new single I Know You Know. The song is about learning to communicate within a relationship and how lies can come back to hurt those you love. The song details someone who will say anything to be liked so they stretch the truth to make themselves seem interesting and funny but dig themselves deeper into a confusing tangle of lies that hurts all those around them. Something that everyone can relate to at a certain level whether building new relationships or maintaining long standing ones.
On the track, the band have collaborated with Sydney local LORA (Hannah Mundy) who features on vocals. BP have been long time fans of her when they fell in love with her song Drive. To get through some serious creative block, the band were playing around with remixing Drive, isolated the vocal and wrote a brand new track around it. That instrumental ended up becoming I Know You Know.
The band finished an explosive year in 2023 warming the stage for Ninajirachi at the Yours and Owls NYE Party in Wollongong. The shows are not slowing down as the band have been announced as a part of Great Southern Nights in March, playing a headline show at Mary’s in Newtown on March 14th, with more music set for release later this year.
