Coming in hot after his woozy synth and alternative rap dream single Runtrack, Allday has surprised fans with EP ‘Excuse Me’. Featuring four melodic, intimate and captivating tracks, ‘Excuse Me’ encapsulates Allday‘s signature alternative rap leaning flow and style.

Following the success and hype of Runtrack and collaboration with Ouse on alone again, Allday has returned and embodied beats that bang, sticky melodies and intricate bars in the EP. Last week Allday announced his regional tour around Australia, which will showcase his compelling lyricism and hook-heavy tunes, kicking off in Caloundra’s Kings Beach TavernCleveland Sands Hotel, and Miami Marketta in the Gold Coast. He will continue to move through Australia to regional hot spots in Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales, before returning to Queensland and then setting off for the Northern Territory, News South Wales and Canberra.

‘Excuse Me’ comes as delightful surprise for Allday fans, starting off with the simultaneously sad and romantic, introspective anthem Runtrack, which embodies the frustration and temptation of going back to an ex. Following the most recent single is Splash, produced by Brisbane-based artist Golden Vessel and ARIA nominated engineer and producer Simon Lam. Splash is a bass heavy, alt-driven and reflective track about remembering the nice moments and moving on from a rough patch.

Next up is Britney Spears which sees Allday using the pop icon’s renowned track names and other 2000’s pop culture references integrated with a narrative about reminiscing and embracing the ups, downs and bumpy ride of relationships. The track uses a guitar-heavy melody, head-bopping beat and soft-spoken vocals from Allday and featured dream pop artist Jade Alice. To round off the surprise EP comes Crazy Trees, a track that showcases Allday‘s intimate and emotive storytelling with an energetic beat and smooth flow about his life experiences.

‘Excuse Me’ showcases Allday‘s ability to connect with his audience, as well as creating tracks that are memorable, distinct and introspective. “My music is about telling my stories and stories of people around me. People respond to the honesty of the music because they see themselves in it. So it’s important to me that I keep my humanity and fallibility in the music,” Allday says.

With Platinum and Gold certified singles up his sleeve, Allday has become a renowned artist within the alternative, hip-hop and Australian music space. He has amassed over 300 million DSP streams, a following over over 600,000 international and local fans that sold out tours across Australia, North America and the UK, and toured with the likes of Mallrat, Lily Allen and Mod Sun among many others. Allday has had three top 10 albums, actively featured in triple j’s Hottest 100 and received media attention from international icons Rolling Stone, NME, Complex, Sway and Line of Best Fit.
