As the sun sets on 2023, Gold Coast music fans are in for a punk rock extravaganza like no other. with a lineup that’s as much a nod to the old school as it is a calling of the new guard.

Aussie legends, the Dune Rats are ready to make their mark once again with their first show on the Coast since 2019! Known for their energetic live shows and chart-topping hits, they’re excited to bring the party to the Best Night Ever. As BC from Dune Rats puts it, “Psyched to get back to the Goldy at Best Night Ever. We played it a couple years back and our mums had a sick time and dad spewed. Keen to do it all again!”

The Smith Street Band have been a powerhouse of Australian music for the last decade. On top of non-stop touring, they have had 5 albums hit the ARIA Album Charts, with ‘Don’t Waste Your Anger’ becoming their first number 1 album in 2020 plus 6 of their singles have made their way into triple j’s Hottest 100. Their most recent studio album, ‘Life After Football’, was a renewal of the group’s pub rock roots and showed that overall, the band are still on fire.

Adding to the pub rock vibes are Adelaide upstarts, Bad//Dreems, who bring a rough-and-tumble brand of rock and roll, full of high energy and tale-telling singalongs. Devo meets Television meets Sunnyboys – you bet.

The event welcomes it’s first-ever international act in the way of, Sun Room who have emerged as Southern California’s newest surf rock heroes. In just their first six months, they achieved viral success, scoring spots at the Austin City Limits festival and supporting notable acts like Louis Tomlinson and Inhaler and had two of their tracks featured on the Netflix series, Outer Banks.

Melbourne four piece, Press Club will bring their distinctive indie sound back to the BNE stage. Their third full-length album, ‘Endless Motion’, released in 2022, was highly acclaimed, with singles making their way onto some very important playlists and was Double J Feature Album too!
