Gold Coast rockers HAMMERS, have today dropped their hard-hitting new single F*cked Around & Found Out through Summerland Records. The track sees the band venturing into heavier territory, both sonically and lyrically. Fresh off their ‘It’s A Small World Tour’ which saw them play shows in New Zealand and Japan, the band will wrap up 2024 with 2 shows this weekend with Aussie icons Cog, to celebrate the new release. The guys saddle up with the the prog-rock legends tonight at Crowbar Sydney (SOLD OUT) and Saturday at Crowbar Brisbane.
Although HAMMERS wear the disarming bluster of illegal ?reworks, shit meat pies & beer fuelled skullduggery like an 80’s Rugby Guernsey – the band has time and time again proved their depth as songwriters and performers. The songwriting chops are on full display with the new single F*cked Around & Found Out, with guitarist/vocalist Lucas Stone adding “FAAFO is fresh territory for HAMMERS and a return to some of my roots as a songwriter, whilst keeping a firm grip on that signature HAMMERS sound”. He continues “I’m proud of where we’re heading and I’m super keen to see and hear what our audiences reaction is when this forthcoming record drops. The evolution of HAMMERS as both best friends and purveyors of the deadly riff and howl, is shaping itself perfectly, and I feel, is very well represented in this latest offering. Enjoy.”
Catch the band this weekend supporting Cog at Crowbar Sydney tonight, and Crowbar Brisbane on Saturday night. The band is also hosting an End of Year Bash at Spangled Drongo Brewery in Murwillumbah, from 3pm on Sunday December 1st. All are welcome to this free entry event. The band will be premiering the video for the latest single, have merch pop-ups and their own collab beer with Spangled Drongo, ‘Kook Soup’, on tap on the day.
