Eora/Sydney-based singer/multi-instrumentalist Jordy Burns has just announced her debut EP, out on Thursday April 18th. Accompanying this announcement is her latest single off the record, Second Chances – produced by Luke Clark and mixed by Gambino.
Second Chances unfolds with the graceful ascent of lush synths and a dynamic electronic rhythm, fashioning an ethereal and propelling arrangement. Jordy Burns‘ vocals delicately fuse vulnerability and potency, soaring within the embracing warmth of the sonic atmosphere.
Jordy Burns talks about the inspiration behind Second Chances: “Second Chances fell out of my brain on a pretty poignant day in a toxic relationship when I finally realised that this person wasn’t going to change. After a really heated discussion, as many pained artists do, I found creativity in some intense journaling and suddenly I was staring at the lyrics of my next song.”
Her debut single off the upcoming EP has been widely embraced by Apple Music, triple j Unearthed and Australian community radio stations such as SYN Media, 4ZZZ and UCFM. In the online space, her track has been supported by Pilerats, Australian Music Scene, Eat This Music, Something You Said and AAA Backstage.
