Starting out as four High School best mates playing lunchtime jams and battle of the bands, a lot has changed for Peach Fur since 2015. Today sees the Gold Coast based quartet made up of Denny HilderLiam WardBen Crichton & Mikey Woodworth selling out venues and playing festivals across the country. Three years in production, but a lifetime in the making – Peach Fur are beyond excited to announce the release of their debut album ‘Earth Radio’ out NOW.

The debut record is an ambitious, 53-minute experience that not many artists attempt early in their career, let alone with their debut album. However as they have consistently proven over the last 8 years, Peach Fur continues to deliver everything we’ve come to expect and more. Diving deep into ‘Earth Radio’ sees the band explore their signature disco-pop outfit while continuing to experiment with elements of soul funk & rock.

Bringing disco fever goodness to singles like Yummy and Sun Rays, tracks like Portofino and Cool Witch shine light on the duality of Peach Furs’ scope. Adding elements of hip-hop with Bloom ft. Saint Lane to belting out pub-rock swingers with How Many Beers – ‘Earth Radio”s diversity is hard to be matched.

‘Earth Radio’ was predominantly recorded at 4000 Studios in Brisbane, with drums being recorded at their very good friends Stingin Rogers shed in Upper Coomera on the Gold Coast and Rocking Horse Studios in Byron. The album was produced & mixed by the band’s long-time collaborator and Gold Coast Music Awards Nominee, Blake Malone. Mastering for ‘Earth Radio’ was done by George Georgidas.

On the inspiration for the album’s title & concept, the band says “The idea behind the album comes from the time capsule of The Golden Record sent out into space on The Voyager back in 1977 which contained images and sounds of the cultural diversity on our planet Earth. It’d be dope for any extraterrestrials out there to hear it and get jiggy with it.

They add “We’ve poured everything we possibly have into this album over the past 3 years, no stone was unturned creatively. This project feels as though it is a culmination of all of our previous work in a new inventive way, with total intention.

Young into their career, Peach Fur have already become young veterans of the Australian music scene. Selling out shows nationally and making their presence known internationally, the band’s unique style and undeniable energy has grabbed the globe’s attention. From winning the Gold Coast Music Awards “Live Act of the Year” and featuring as Triple J Unearthed’s Feature Artist, to playing at Spilt Milk in 2022 alongside Steve LacyThe Wombats & Flume and most recently touring nationally with Circa Waves.

‘Earth Radio’ is a body of work that creates a bold statement from the group who want to push the boundaries and give listeners an experience unlike what Peach Fur have released before.
