Kick back or get up and groove to The Steele Syndicate’s newest knockout, Take It Eazy, out today.

The Steele Syndicate is a Brisbane-based, punchy funk-rock sensation crafting  a varied plethora of addictive beats, from soulful, contemplative ballads to dance-inducing funk frenzies.

This bunch is well-versed in the festival scene, with performances at Bluesfest Byron Bay 2024Woodford Folk (22/23)Mitchell Creek BluesCaloundra MusicUnder the TreesWallaby Creek and Palm Creek Festival, a win at the 2024 Bluesfest Busking Competition, and performances lined up for  2025 at Bluesfest and a single launch at Spin and Groove Records on March 29.

Take It Eazy is a throwback to disco beats of yesteryear, something familiar and easy to listen to, packed with cheerful, bubbly energy. Funk guitars, horns and strings combine with smooth layered vocals to create a nostalgic, feel good disco anthem that is guaranteed to get the good times rolling.

The thesis of the song is simple: Take It Eazy. In the hustle and bustle and stress of the modern day, it’s important to kick back and remember to enjoy things. As Steele sings in the chorus: “My secret is to chill and let the music flow.”

Experience this band’s  live energy first-hand when this song is performed at its upcoming single launch. The launch gig is an afternoon event, all ages and BYO, featuring support slots by Jam & Scones and Joel Anthony, and taking place in the backroom of Spin and Groove Records, Newstead. Grab a drink and enjoy a perfect music afternoon.

Then, The Steele Syndicate is set to perform at 1:30pm on Friday, April 18 at Byron Bay Bluesfest 2025, on the Jambalaya stage.
