Australian hip-hop icon Allday releases new single Runtrack alongside a 14-date regional tour announcement scheduled for November and December.
Runtrack is the latest single from Allday, arriving off the back of a collab with Ouse on alone again and a super successful recent UK tour.
The new single is Allday in his best territory, an alternative hip-hop lament to an ex you can’t stop running back to. Runtrack was mixed by American audio engineer Alex Tumay, who has worked with artists including YoungThug, Travis Scott, Future, Kanye West, and Drake.
The single is simultaneously sad and romantic, treading the line between pleasure and pain. Woozy synths, a stripped back melody, and minimalist percussion provide the world for Allday‘s internal conflict about whether to return to that relationship. The intimate track arrives ahead of a regional tour in Australia later this year.
The regional tour will see Allday kick things off in Caloundra’s Kings Beach Tavern, moving through the Queensland east coast before heading to the Pier Bandroom in Frankston, Victoria, before slingshotting back up to Far North Queensland. He plays two dates in Newcastle and Gosford in NSW, then Darwin, Northern Territory and a final gig in Canberra, ACT throughout November and December. Big Skeez will be the main support, boasting syrupy basslines, Afro rhythms, club-indebted samples, slick vocals and rap flows. Big Skeez signed with NLV Records in 2021 and is an artist rooted in his African heritage and speaks to his life in Western Sydney, encouraging African-Australian kids to connect with the rich legacies of their cultures and to shine a light on their triumphs.
Since the beginning of his career, Allday has amassed over +300M DSP streams, three top 10 albums, and sold out tours in the UK, North America, and Australia. The alt-hip-hop star has built a social media following from the ground up over the past decade, amassing a 600,000+ person strong following, giving him a direct line to his fans. NB: TikTok is where Allday tends to hangout, and where his deadpan humour truly shines.
He has toured with the likes of Lily Allen, Skizzy Mars, and Mod Sun and has a swathe of Platinum and Gold certified singles. Allday is a regular in triple j‘s Hottest 100 and has attracted the attention of international press such as Rolling Stone, NME, Sway, Complex, and Line of Best Fit.
