Currently on a huge regional and capital city tour across the country, Australian icon Ben Lee has revealed a brand new single ‘So Damn Hard (to be So Damn Good)’, as well as the official video clip for the new single – an interactive, one-take video clip shot on a 360 camera created in collaboration with Byron Spencer (DEEPFAITH). The new single also follows on from a viral video with Australian creator Breakfast Shirts that picked up over 580K views on instagram, and 470K views on TikTok.

Recently announcing his forthcoming album, ‘This One’s For The Old Headz’, which is set for release on 20 September 2024, Ben reveals another taster of what’s to come with his new single So Damn Hard (to be So Damn Good). Following on from recent singles Lovers and Heavy Metal, speaking on the single Ben explains “This ditty is about swagger in the face of chaos, confidence in the face of failure, sexiness in the face of insecurity. It’s about believing in yourself even when you probably shouldn’t. Is it a joke or is it serious? I can’t tell anymore”.

To celebrate the release of the new single Ben Lee has teamed up with acclaimed photographer, musician, artist, creative and good friend Byron Spencer (DEEPFAITH) to deliver an incredibly entertaining, one-take, interactive video clip for the new single that see’s Ben skipping down the streets of Sydney’s Kings Cross with a spring in his step singing along to his new single. Shot on a 360 cam, viewers can toggle the video to see a 360 angle of the train station, streets and stores Ben visits on his short walk as well as Ben, of course, at zero degrees.

To celebrate the announcement of his forthcoming record, Ben Lee is currently on a huge lap around Australia playing in pretty much every capital city and regional town in the country, and just about anywhere you can find music fans. The new single follows on from a recent video of Ben’s live show going viral across socials after Australian creator Breakfast Shirts stumbled into the recent Ulladulla show that Ben was playing and documented the live show, as well as Ben’s rockstar exit from the pub while the last song was still playing. The video picked up over 580K views on instagram, and 470K views on TikTok. Ben has just announced a whole new run of dates across NSW and QLD, with tickets on sale now at https://www.ben-lee.com/tour-dates.
