King Stingray have released their brand new single Best Bits today, alongside a feel-good concept video directed by Sam Brumby.
The video centres around a mysterious Australian 1980s variety program called ‘Best Bits’. It’s hilarious, wholesome, celebratory and uniquely King Stingray.
Discussing the new track, King Stingray say, “Best Bits is a song about all the best parts of life all poured into one moment. Inspired by a particular moment in time, a particular day that had all the right ingredients. It’s about those ripper-of-a-day type moments, those warm days in the sunshine with your mates, with your family or a loved one. The memorable days that just seem to stick with you. It’s about simple living in a complex digital world, and although it can be hard to articulate in just a few words, a feeling that is so massive and profound. Sometimes all the best bits of life are already all around us! Yo manymak!”
The single follows news that the band will head on a regional tour in July and August, where fans will get a chance to hear Best Bits live alongside the group’s growing list of hits. They will be supported by Jem Cassar-Daley.
The Arnhem Land based group have been teasing their new music on social media, letting fans know that they have been putting the finishing touches on their sophomore album, following 2022’s acclaimed self-titled debut LP. Stay tuned for more King Sting news soon!
