Following on from their fruitful previous single Give It Up For Yourself, NSW-based indie-rock quartet Pacific Avenue have again returned with a stylish new offering Leaving for London – produced by Chris Collins (SkegssYorkeMiddle Kids).

Another addition to an ever-growing catalogue that proves their songwriting alchemy to be unparalleled, Leaving for London combines graceful guitars with syrupy slap back vocals that upsurge beyond the sentimental framework. Connoisseurs to the themes of hopefulness and resilience, the band’s masterful expressions are best complimented through their indie-rock craft, as the song’s attractive hook emphasise the narrative of unconditional love for those closest to you.

The band talk about the meaning behind Leaving for London: “Leaving for London is about loving and wanting to be with someone, but at the same time ensuring you’re doing what’s best for them, and understanding what makes them happiest, even if that means not being able to be with them. It’s about doing your best at supporting who you love, to become who they want to be.”

To celebrate the release, Pacific Avenue will be embarking on an arena tour supporting Australia’s beloved alternative act Crooked Colours, which continues on from their most recent run of high-capacity shows opening for English artist Louis Tomlinson. The band’s live performance resume is multiplying in excellence, with appearances alongside The Wombats (UK), Ruby FieldsOcean AlleySkeggsLime CordialeThelma PlumTash SultanaBritish IndiaMissy HigginsThe Vanns and San Cisco, as well as performances at Australian boutique festivals Lost ParadiseThis That and Yours & Owls.
